NBLSA - Why Do You Care About My Hair? Part II

Simone Yhap, NBLSA Parliamentarian, will moderate, and Professor Wendy Green, from the Drexel Kline School of Law, will speak about her instrumental role in increasing public awareness around natural hair as well as securing legal redress for grooming codes discrimination related to the discrimination African descendants encounter based upon their natural and protective hairstyles such as afros, twists, locs, and braids. MILS member, Stephanie Mills, will explore how mindfulness can support the legal advocacy work related to these important issues (and its attendant fallouts!). We will also continue the fascinating and educational dialogue that was started at the February conversation.
