MILS Illinois Chapter: Mindfulness Practice for Courage

10:00-10:30am PT/ 12:00-12:30pm CT/ 1:00-1:30 ET

Please join us this month where MILS IL Chapter Co-Chair, Brendan Cournane, will be leading a mindfulness practice for courage. REGISTER HERE.

We will discuss the 4F Trauma Personality Types (Freeze, Flight, Fawn, Fight - See Attached Chart), based on the work from Pete Walker's book, Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving, and learn how to hold your fear while staying in your core self attributes - the 8Cs.

The 4F Trauma Personality Types contribute to distinct personalities that Harvard Medical School’s Richard Schwartz, founder of Internal Family Systems, identified as "parts". Schwartz noticed that when the more disruptive parts felt safe and had their needs met, they would accede to the wise leadership of the core self. How we relate to our parts is what lays the groundwork for being Self-Led.
