MILS Virtual Retreat - On the Path to Memphis

7AM - 12PM PT/ 9AM - 1PM CT/ 10AM - 3PM ET/ 3PM - 8PM GMT

To pave the way to the in-person retreat in Memphis, we are very excited to announce a virtual retreat that will take place on Saturday, November 13. Please join us for meditation and movement practices led by prominent mindfulness-in-law teachers from across North America - including a special talk by Professor Rhonda Magee of the University of San Francisco School of Law, a speaker and lecturer on mindfulness and racial justice, as well as the author of the acclaimed book, The Inner Work of Racial Justice.

This retreat is open to all legal professionals and law students, including MILS members and non-members. We extend an especially warm welcome to legal professionals who identify as members of traditionally underrepresented or excluded communities. There will be an opportunity to practice in silence and to connect with other mindful legal professionals in anticipation of future gatherings - including our in-person retreat in Memphis in 2022!

There is no charge to attend. You are welcome to attend on your own, and you’re also welcome (and encouraged) to attend with a group from your firm, court, school, or organization.

The virtual retreat is also an excellent opportunity to connect with current and prospective MILS members, and to strengthen the MILS community. We’re hopeful that this connection will encourage participants to join the live retreat in Memphis.
