Meet the President of the Institute of Well-Being in Law: Bree Buchanan

Bree Buchanan, President of the Institute of Well-Being In Law (IWIL), join the New England Chapter virtual meeting on Wednesday, December 15 from 12 to 1 pm ET,  and all MILS members are welcome to join!

Bree will  talk about the great work IWIL is doing to improve well-being in the legal industry.  Bree is  the  founding co-chair of the National Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being, where she co-authored the 2017 report.   Prior to that, Bree had a thirty-year career as a litigator, lobbyist, law professor and lawyers assistance program director.

IWIL’s mission is “dedicated to the betterment of the legal profession by focusing on a holistic approach to well-being. Through advocacy, research, education, technical and resource support, and stakeholders’ partnerships, it is driven to lead a culture shift in law to establish health and well-being as core centerpieces of professional success”.   IWIL recognizes the importance of mindfulness practice as a foundation of well-being.
